A Typical Day At Kinetic Therapy Service

I wanted to share with you what a typical day at Kinetic Therapy Service would consist of.

It starts early at 8 am!

Start the morning off by unrolling the phones back to our office number. The phones are rolled typically to a cell phone that is answered 24 hours a day. Usually no one calls after hours but someone is available if someone needs to usually call.

Our communication with the home health go through emails. It is a great way to keep up with what has been said or how to track if something needs to be done. Using the email keeps everyone that needs to be involved included. If a nurse, office manager, DON or therapy scheduler needs to all be included then it is very simple for everyone to get the message and be on the same page!

If someone needs a quick fix of something they might call and things can be addressed over the phone and fixed immediately. We love communicating either way!

Checking Text Messages

Where most of our communication with the home health go through email, most of our communication with our therapists go through text messages!

They are out in the field and all have phones that they can shoot a real quick text and get an immediate answer. They might have a question about their schedule and we can look it up there in the office and then get back to the therapists with the answer they need to keep moving throughout their day!

They might have a patient that has had a fall, or high blood pressure or a high temperature. They will call in or send a text reporting their findings to the office immediately. That will then be communicated immediately to the home health.

I mean let’s get real! It’s time to go grab a cup of coffee! All fo the fires that happened after 5 and before 8 am have been put out and we are ready to start the day moving forward!

New Referrals

We LOVE new referrals! Receiving a new referral over the fax or over our electronic medical system is like bells and whistles going off and we are jumping for joy! We absolutely love getting new patients’ to get to do therapy on!

Our office will get all the important information put in the system like, date of birth, address, phone numbers, and emergency contacts. We will call the patient and let them know we have them in our system they have been scheduled out to a physical therapist or occupational therapist. Our office will verify the address and get driving directions for the therapists so they can find the patent easily! Sometimes Google and Apple Maps work, but sometimes they don’t in rural Oklahoma!

The patients’ referral will be put on a therapists schedule and the therapist will be notified by text of their new patient! They usually respond with a thumbs up or an exclamation point mark! We all love new referrals!

There is always lots of paperwork to keep track of, file and sort!

We keep track of all the therapists shot records, tb test results and current CPR on file. Verifying their licenses are active and they have completed all the necessary paperwork to practice therapy in the state of Oklahoma by the medical board. We are happy to keep their files current and have them available if any home health need to see them.

Also, we keep up with authorizations from the home health, contracts and provide all the necessary insurances to stay compliant with the home health. It’s a pleasure to work for the home health so we do our best to keep everything up to date and organized to the best of our ability.

We Are The Go Between

We are the official go between the home health companies, the patients’ and the therapists. We are your one stop shop to keep from everyone trying to communicate to all the home health staff, all the therapist and all the different patients. You can call us, we take care of it all! We are a full service contract therapy company and will happily do all the work for you!

If you are tired of tracking down all the notes from the patient that discharged to the hospital.
